Ng and the story s still fresh and I could not ask for than thatAsk for that epilogue mentioned above view spoilerI m reading Limits to Stakeholder Influence: Why the Business Case Won't Save the World it as thought was a dream None of the other reviews I read at this point are saying that but as Rachel references the dreams she s had that related to this storyline one of them was about Ray getting married and while I can t find my old TWWNN book to compare t t sounded a heck of a lot like that epilogue to me And some people might think that s a little easy but I kind of like the fact that Let's Talk 3 Student's Book it reopens the series for anything to happen hide spoiler 455 stars If you can just mentally delete the epilogue that ended the series at book 13 American Demons a fantastic continuation to the Hollows seriesI kind of like that American Demon Socrates, The Wisest And Most Just? is annitially unplanned continuation because otherwise the series might have felt too drawn out Now European State Aid and Tax Rulings it s moving forward with a freshntention and that s exciting The book dealt with the aftermath of the crazy things that went down n the first series and t truly felt like a new beginning The Only Way Out Is in: A Modern Day Yogi's Commentary on the Synergy of Ashtanga Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra in this world Harrison did an excellent job expanding the playing field by adding a bunch of new characters and the demon Hodin became annstant favorite I love characters with duality But the best part The Complete Paladin's Handbook is that this newnstallment The Lake is still filled with the characters we ve built connections with over the first 13 books sot already has that developed depth that makes longtime fans like me fawn over every pageI was enjoying the story for all the things listed above but what really set this book apart as a strong addition to the series was the Surface of the Deep: Searching for Booker Wright and Finding Redemption Along the Way inclusion of a lot of complicated spellwork It was awesome I remember Rachel spellingn previous books but I don t recall The Devil Aspect it ever being uite thisnvolved She was trying to develop a new spell and I found every stage of the process absolutely fascinating I hope this leveled up component continues n the next bookThe Hollows s one of my top urban fantasy series It s not my overall favorite precisely but An Unlikely Pair (My Once and Future Love, its responsible for a couple of my single favorite scenes across any genre Harrison really knows how to build momentum and she has truly dazzled me with some of her most epic moments But that gradual momentum that always leads to amazing payoffs takes time to develop And so as we re just beginning another story arc Four Corners Level 1b Workbook in American Demon the pacings rather casual throughout most of the story Which Stahl's Illustrated Substance Use and Impulsive Disorders is just fine because when a series touches you like this one has me even the slower parts have a lot of merit It was a great way to ease backnto the worldRecommendations this Love and Punishment (Beyond Fairytales series) is a must read for fans of the series the story uality continues as strong as ever With thatn mind I wouldn t recommend new readers diving Crisis: The Anatomy of Two Major Foreign Policy Crises in without first reading the main Hollows series Also Harrison published a really good preuel novel The Turn that she referenced oftenn American Demon so Angola to Zydeco: Louisiana Lives if you haven t had a chance to read that one yet I thinkt added a lot to the experience I want to thank Berkley Publishing Group Kim Harrison and Netgalley for allowing me access to an early copy of American Demon you made my yearVia The Obsessive Bookseller at wwwNikiHawkescomOther books you might like 3 stars I kind of wish I had just stopped reading the series at book 13 Harrison ended Kaltblau it so perfectly While I was excited to get backnto The Hollows my mind s screaming not like this When I started this book t felt really good to be back Between Octobers in The Hollows with Rachel and the gang but halfway through I realized this book was waaaayyyy too long winded and the plot was all over I ended up kind of skimming until the end which I also somewhat hated Not suref I will continue this "series Julian 3: The Works of the Emperor Julian if there are books I should have lett be Kim Harrison takes us back to our beloved Hollows "if there are books I should have let Contemporary Task-Based Language Teaching in Asia it be Kim Harrison takes us back to our beloved Hollows American Demon and fans will not be disappointedWe join up once again with Rachel Morgan right before the epiloguen The Witch With No Name Harrison The Taming of the Werewolf introduces two new charactersnto the book whom I think Hollows fans will love They bring a breath of fresh air to the series after laying dormant for 3 years And Second Biennial Report of the State Board of Health of the State of Iowa: For the Fiscal Period Ending June 30, 1883 (Classic Reprint) if you are worried that the story will totally re write the epilogue of The Witch With No Name don t be The girls are still toddlers Rachels still about 30 and Ivy and Nina are still navigating their developing relationshipThere s however a new predator on the hunt and Rachel s on the menu as she plays a high stakes shell game Losing s not an option when someone she loves s being targeted With elfdemon dynamics at critical mass the delicate balance of species First Cosmic Velocity is hanging by a thread When tolerance and hate play tug of warn the Hollows someone Philosophy of Psychopharmacology: Smart Pills, Happy Pills, and Pepp Pills is bound to lose a soulWhat I would have liked to see with American Demon was appearances from staple characters however the books setting the stage for the Hollows Returns series and t would get too crowded f everyone showed up for the partyI loved the feeling of coming home as I delved nto the book and revisited old friends and familiar places It felt comfortable yet still gave an exciting new vibe with the story line The church crew dynamic yet still gave an exciting new vibe with the story line The church crew dynamic evolving and there will be growing pains but t didn t feel like an ending just a new beginningAmerican Demon fills n gaps while keeping the timeline true It s worth noting that the next book Tryst with Prosperity in the series The Rules shooting for a not too distant publishing date and I can t wait This book Tryst with Prosperity: Indian Business and the Bombay Plan of 1944 is proof that a well beloved UF series with an official ending does not have to EndWhat am I saying Nothing much No ret cons needed We just have a new beginning with the same old characters we loveBut waitsn t our witch ahem just a LITTLE TOO OVERPOWERED Especially with that last book going NUTS with the changes changes and even bigger changesNope Because the world moves on Nothing Al Capone's Beer Wars: A Complete History of Organized Crime in Chicago During Prohibition is sompressive and amazing that others can t st all over your parade deny Code Name: Bikini it ever happened or make your life a living hell just because they regnorant andor a jerkHuh That kinda sounds like a slice right out of real life noAnd THAT Below the Moon (The 8th Island Trilogy is why this book picks up not too long after the events of book 13 of the Hollows and starts back up with Return to the Hollows with nothing than a shrug Our Witchy Morgans never given the credit she deserves and all these new characters showing up gives the series new lifeAnd YES Jenks s still his glorious self Bis too And happy time with Trent s uite happyThe novel gives us good mystery good action and plenty of smoldering lust and much Legenden von Nuareth - Heldentaten in the way of annoyance for certain jerks In other wordst s a classic return to what made the series special I love t. W murders and an exceedingly mysterious new demon n town t will take everything Rachel has to counter this new threat to the world and t may demand the sacrifice of what she holds most dear.
